Majlis Pelancaran Ibu Nakhoda Hidup 2018

 The Ibu Nakhoda Hidup mother entrepreneurship programme co-organised by Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad (MYDIN), Protecr & Gamble (P&G Malaysia), and Pertubuhan Pembangunan Kendiri Wanita dan Gadis (WOMEN: girls) is back for its fourth year to provide support and assistance to mother entrepreneurs all across Malaysia.

This year's Ibu Nakhoda Hidup ams to reach out to more business organisations and universities to provide mentoring to the women within the programme and share knowledge on mapping out business growth through community engagements that will be carried out at the 10 roadshows nationwide which started on 16 March 2018 ends on 20th May 2018.

At the event, P&G Modern Retail Leader, Miss Jennis Tan said, " The fact that Ibu Nakhoda Hidup is running for its fourth year shows how important programmes like these in helping our mothers to see the bigger picture and take the opportunity to expand their business besides imply generating an income for their family."

"P&G has been really happy in providing business opportunities to some of the mothers within the programmers by using them as suppliers for our Gift-with-Purchase campaigns. These women have shown great commitment in bigger business deals like these and it has proven us on how visionary they are in their business outlook. We are also providing marketing and branding skills which is close to the nature of our business that can be an advantage for them."

Last year, we receive 163 Ibu Nakhoda Hidup entries nationwide and five winners were crownded by MYDIN, P&G and WOMEN:girls. The winners are Nur Syuhada Amran and Jasmine Aliya Hao, Anita Othman, Azizah Ahmad, Haimisah Mahli and Saptuyah Abang.

"This year, the standard is even higher for five mothers to be selected as our winners. We want to see their direction not only in terms of ensuing profitability but also how they can make an impact in the society through their thinking, method and business outlook. They should be holistic in order to be able to go further than the rest." said Datin Wira Dr. Hajah Siti Hawa Mohd, Director of MYDIN.

The launch ceremony on 29 March 2018, showcased the three-year Ibu Nakhoda Hidup journey in a walk-through exhibition at the concourse of Mydin USJ, Subang Jaya featuring all the Ibu Nakhoda Hidup alumni over the past three years. About 60 entrepreneurs attended the launch and throughout the day. The roadshows opens til Friday March 30 March until Sunday 1st April where mother entrepreneurs from the Klang Valley and Selangor can send in their applications for this year. Also present at the launch were Datuk Yatimah Sarjiman, the Director of Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad; Datin Wira Dr. Hajah Siti Hawa Mohd, Director of Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad; Jenis Tan, P&G Malaysia Modern Retail Leader, and Low Ngai Yuen, President and Founder of Pertubuhan WOMEN:girls.

The public are invited to participate in the weekly photo contest on instagram. Just spot the WOMEN:girls team in MYDIN during their on-ground nationwide tour and tag three entrepreneurs that you know in the caption. The lucky winners every week will receive MYDIN shopping vouchers worth RM50 with the Grand Prize of MYDIN shopping vouchers worth RM1,500. The search for Ibu Nakhoda Hidup 2018 is now open and you can get the application form and consultation service of the programmer at all Ibu Nakhoda Hidup 2018 tour stops.

Shopping this school holidays in Malaysia

This School holidays where to go? I like to share with you some malls that I often go, I like shopping in Sunway Pyramid. There's an app that you can use to check out good deal, so if you have a smart phone use it!

Another shopping mall that you will like to find out of their challenge as it is related to Transformers, yeah love this toys and I bet you gonna want to see what's new there in 1 U. My sons favourite are Optimus Prime and Bumble bee.

Who likes to shop for imported products? It's good place to start out as you can find not just nice food but also many choices of imported products, it's located at SAM'S GROCERIA in Utropolis Marketplace, Glenmarie Shah Alam.

Last Sunday's out@MYDIN MALL USJ

Last Sunday, I attended the Program Ekspresi Deepavali at MYDIN MALL USJ. Above is the goodie bag I received, I also received RM50 voucher. The next day, I went to MYDIN again to purchase milk powder 1.8kg and coffee using the voucher. The voucher only expired in Jan, but I saw the promotion of milk powder decided to make use of the voucher.

I saw many beautiful Indian dresses, yeah great offer at MYDIN MALL.

Modern Dance Contest@Mydin Mall USJ

Do you have passion to dance? Mark your date for this Sunday because this contest open to everyone who has interest to join!

The minimum requirement you need two people to join this as group! 

It is an open dance and based on your creativitiy.

The judge is Dior Kusa.

Sertai Pertandingan Tarian Moden Terbuka di MYDIN Mall USJ Ahad ini (13 April 2014). Penyertaan terbuka kepada semua yang berminat. Syarat-syarat pertandingan seperti berikut:

i) minimum dua (2) orang bagi setiap kumpulan 
ii) tarian yang dipersembahkan perlu berkonsepkan tarian moden dan mengikut kreativiti masing-masing. Keaslian persembahan diberi penekanan.

Juri yang akan menilai persembahan anda adalah Dior Kusa.

Mydin CNY Carnival

Yesterday I attend the Mydin Chinese New Year Carnival, you can click on the post for more detail. Above is of the video taken using my phone. You can click on the link above to view another video which is China Wushu. No kidding the are Wushu folks invited from China.

I didn't notice the fire cracker is one of the decoration at the mall. You can watch the video to find out why.

My son and I arrived at the mall about 6pm, we waited in car for parking. After 10 minutes, I manage find a car park. I left at 10.30pm the lucky draw still going on but no luck for me. My lucky draw number 481, a woman with number 491 won. I was late to know about the lucky draw, I was already in 3rd round when I knows of the lucky draw. I didn't look at my time, I didn't wear a watch. I saw three people walking away with hampers they won.

It was a fun night, glad to see my son enjoy. 

Evening night out with Son@CNY open house last night

It is quite last minute that I get to know of this event to attend. I am invited as media blogger to attend this Chinese New Year Open House at Mydin Mall USJ, Subang Jaya. I am happy to see many people coming this CNY open house, it is open to public and they have lucky draw. I didn't win any lucky draw neither my son. But we have fun, it is an beautiful evening night out with him on Friday night.

He likes the ice cream at the open house, yes they have free ice cream, cendol, char kuey tiao, can drinks, ice lemon tea, etc. I met my dad's friend in the night, he came along with his daughter. The clowns are in town, they are tall I mean very tall! My son has got two swords in hand, one is green which burst earlier then second was a pink sword. :D

The event ends in middle of night, I didn't stay long to watch. My son is tired, we head home around 10.14pm and stucked in the jam for a while. I will upload the pictures soon, give me some time. I haven't transfer the file of photos yet.
